As Alternative Nation reported earlier, Axl Rose ended a Guns N’ Roses show in Abu Dhabi early as he was ‘severely’ and ‘beyond’ ill according to Slash and Duff McKagan on Twitter. Slash and McKagan praised their bandmate for pushing through the show despite his terrible sickness. Rose detailed his illness in a sad video taken at the start of the show that Alternative Nation has tracked down. We also transcribed Rose’s comments.

“They’ve got me on IV’s, and a bunch of injections because I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last 5 hours. Instead of canceling, we’re going to do the best show we can for you.”

Rose bravely fought through a set that would be seen as standard for any other band before having to end the show early, though fans were disappointed as GNR have been playing Herculean 3-hour sets on their reunion tour.
