Actor Patrick Warburton is campaigning on Twitter for Pearl Jam to perform at the Super Bowl next year.

Warburton tweeted, “Pearl Jam would make for the most epic Super Bowl halftime show ever. Can we start campaigning ? #PearlJam @PearlJam @MikeMcCreadyPJ.”

Justin Timberlake performed at the Super Bowl on Sunday, and he had a Prince tribute. He originally planned to have a Prince hologram, but backed off after pressure from Prince’s loved ones and fans.

Pearl Jam have many connections to the NFL, especially their friendship with Steve Gleason which has grown deeper as he’s dealt with ALS over the last several years. Mike McCready has performed the National Anthem for the Seattle Seahawks, Pearl Jam’s hometown team. Aaron Rodgers is also a huge Pearl Jam fan, and Eddie Vedder even wore a Green Bay Packers jersey on stage.

Rodgers told Alternative Nation a few years ago about talking to Eddie Vedder about Gleason, “Yeah I did actually, that was one of the first things I talked to him about. I told him what an impression it left on me watching it. I don’t know how you can watch that clip and not get choked up, because that was very powerful. What Steve’s going through, and Eddie and his stuff through that whole piece, that was unbelievable. Eddie does a lot with charity, and I shared some of my passions, with pediatric cancer, and some of the foundations we work with out here, so that was actually the first thing I said after we got through the pleasantries, was just how much that meant to me.”
