A car CRASHED into BILLY CORGAN’s tea shop for the second time in six months.

On Tuesday (April 29th), SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan announced via social media that a car had crashed into his Highland Park, Illinois tea shop Madame Zuzus – which he owns with his wife Chloe Mendel Corgan.

While it is unclear why the car hit the building, Chloe referred to it as “an honest accident.” Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but there was “some exterior damage.”

“Can you believe that someone drove into the front of Madame Zuzus AGAIN?” Billy shared on Twitter/X along with a photo of the damage. “Thankfully no one was injured. Just more damage to the exterior/interior but the shop is open for the rest of the day.”

Madame Zuzus’ official Instagram account also posted a statement about the incident: “Earlier today, there was an accident outside of Madame Zuzus involving a vehicle that struck the front of the café. Thankfully, no one was injured. Thank you to everyone who checked in and offered support.”

Coincidentally, this is not the first time a car has crashed into the Corgans’ tea shop. In fact, this is the second time this has happened within the last six months.

In October of last year, at least one person was injured when a car drove over the curb and crashed through the shop’s window. The person injured happened to be Chloe Mendel Corgan’s mother Jenny, who was having lunch with Chloe and Billy’s son Augustus.

Augustus, luckily, narrowly escaped injury.

“Thankfully he was able to leap out of the way and was not injured,” Chloe said about the incident at the time.
