Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has shared a new photo of himself with guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

“Meeting w/ @jjjschroeder today about all things guitar/music/rocka rolla #WPC #thesmashingpumpkins @yamahaguitardevelopment @yamahaguitars_official.”

Corgan announced his intentions to form a new band with Schroeder in summer 2016 when he first announced his hopes of reuniting the original Smashing Pumpkins lineup.

In June 2016, Corgan added that he, Jeff Schroeder, and Jack Bates (who’s played bass with the Pumpkins) are starting a new band. They haven’t figured out a band name yet, but at the time he said they’d start working on new music the next week. He said that Katie Cole, Sierra Swan, and Linda Strawberry (all of whom have worked with Corgan in the past) will “probably” be involved with the project, as well, and he described the band as “much different from Pumpkins music.”

Corgan is currently on a family vacation, which he wrote about on Instagram.

“Hello from Taos, New Mexico! We got in at 4 AM, due to delayed flight out of Chicago, and got to Albuquerque around 1 only to find that our car res was booked for a city 1000 miles away. Hilarity ensues. But on the good news side, security guard at gate (as we left with said new minivan) recognized me from my work in pro wrestling… #nwawrestling @nwa.”
