Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has reacted to a viral new meme poking fun at him. The meme compares him to ‘Pinhead’ from Hellraiser. Corgan ripped Kerrang Magazine for sharing the meme, though it appears they have deleted it. Dangerous Minds also posted it.

Corgan wrote, “So funny and clever I can’t stand it.”

“@kerrangmagazine_ Where clever is never.”

He then reposted a message he wrote to fans the prior night, “Just want to say: I’ve received a lot of messages from people who are hurting right now. Which means for everyone who reaches out there are likely 5 more who couldn’t or wouldn’t (which is understandable, honestly, so no judgement).”

“So if you are hurting right now, please talk to someone you trust. Or a professional who can help. There’s no shame in seeking help. In fact, it is very courageous to do so. Love yourself enough to fight, and find new hope in life’s zigs and zags.”

Corgan added in a new message, “Like I said, if they bully me just for being, what message does that send to fans?”

“We care about YOU.”

Corgan also posted a photo of the Pumpkins on the cover of Kerrang Magazine last year.
