Smashing Pumpkins members Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin shared beautiful artwork featuring the band’s original lineup, featuring D’arcy Wretzky, who is not part of the reunion lineup. Corgan and Chamberlin made the post to promote Spotify’s new ‘This Is The Smashing Pumpkins’ playlist. This is the first

Corgan wrote, “CHECK OUT the new-new ‘This Is The Smashing Pumpkins’ playlist at @Spotify. Link is below. I’m working on my own custom playlist (of songs I love by my fave artists) which will soon be linked to my ‘BC’ Spotify account. But for now, here’s link to @smashingpumpkins list: https://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWTf1WFEDuVwU?si=jDuf5BijRnCTuDs9dn9seg.”

Chamberlin wrote, “Very cool in here! Thanks @spotify !”

The playlist features mostly songs from the Pumpkins’ 1991-2000 run, but there are some songs from the last decade. The more recent songs include Panopticon, Being Beige, Drum + Fife, The Celestials, One and All, and My Love Is Winter.

Billy Corgan also revealed yesterday that The Smashing Pumpkins are done recording their new ‘Shiny and Oh So Bright’ EP’s.

He wrote on Instagram, “Leaving on a jet plane! Thank you LALA! Been a wild ride. Listened back to the 8 new jams today. That too was a ride in itself. Can’t wait to hear songs mixed. Also did a fun and wide-ranging interview with Lars Ulrich today for his radio show. AND had a two hour meeting Re: Shiny and Oh So staging. So it was a good day aside from the cross-country flight. But it’s always good to go h-o-m-e.”

Below is the official Spotify image for the playlist, which also features D’arcy.
