Late Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan once revealed what she hoped would happen after her death, saying that she wanted to be an angel who helps guide people through difficult times in their life.

In an interview with her friend, journalist Barry Egan, Dolores opened up about her battles with depression and attempting to take her own life in 2013.

She said she’d had to convince herself to slow down and not to feel guilty, adding: “Because I am not going to live that long. I’m 43. If I see 50, I’ll be happy. I mean that.”

In another interview, Dolores expressed her wish to help other people, even after she was gone.

She was asked: “Based on your karma, what will you be reincarnated as?”

She said: “I think I’ll probably come back as an angel and I’d like to guide people or guard people going through similar experiences in life, whisper in their ear and kind of give them ideas on how to deal with things.”

She discussed her father’s death on SiriusXM last year, and the idea of what happens when you die.

“I feel like when people die, I don’t really think they crossover straight away. I think that they get stuck in kind of an in between place. I was kind of wondering where exactly they go, because I didn’t feel like he crossed over properly, I felt like he was lingering a bit. He was around me a lot, I felt like it took time for him to move.”
