On the second episode of Bruce Springsteen’s Apple Music Hits show, Letter To You Radio, Bruce Springsteen is joined by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl to discuss the road to mainstream success. Billy Corgan just revealed if Dave Grohl is really a nice guy.

Bruce and Eddie discuss conflict and anxiety in the early days of their careers, how Bruce gets really attached to his demos, which is why there was no demoing done on Letter To You, and Eddie has him describe the ‘beach box’ sound from Nebraska.

Bruce asks Dave Grohl about his journey from Nirvana to the Foo Fighters, and Dave tells Bruce about his new documentary, What Drives Us, and the two discuss the brotherhood in their bands.

Letter to You Radio features five episodes, each dedicated to a time period in Springsteen’s career. Joined by a special guest on each episode, listeners will hear Springsteen discuss his career from its inception to his latest album Letter To You recorded with the E Street Band. Special guests include long time manager Jon Landau and Clive Davis, Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Jon Stewart and E Street Band’s Steven Van Zandt.

Eddie Vedder and Dave Grohl are the biggest surviving names from the Seattle Grunge movement after the tragic deaths of Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, and Chris Cornell. Vedder and Grohl briefly played together in Mike Watt’s band in 1995 on the tour that saw Foo Fighters play live for the first time.
