Rush have confirmed a 2027 run of dates across the UK, Europe and South America, extending their return to the stage after more than a decade away from touring outside North America. The shows will mark the band’s first European concerts since 2013 and their first South American dates in 17 years, with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson continuing without late drummer Neil Peart.

The 2027 leg includes four UK arena dates: Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on March 8, Manchester’s Co-op Live on March 12, and London’s O2 Arena on March 16 and 18, with the wider itinerary spanning 24 shows in 13 countries. The tour is billed as an “Evening with” format featuring two sets each night, and will see Anika Nilles on drums and Loren Gold on keyboards alongside Lee and Lifeson.

Geddy Lee talks about Taylor Hawkins Tribute

Lee has said the idea of playing Rush material again took on new momentum after their appearance at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in London in 2022. “You know, when we had played in London in 2022 for the Taylor Hawkins tribute, that was really the first intense time we had spent any time playing our material with other people,” he told Absolute Radio.

Lee added that they played with two different drummers that night— Dave Grohl and Omar Hakim—calling it “a really interesting process.”

Reflecting on what the night revealed, Lee said it reminded them that “those songs are still alive and they’re still very much a part of us,” and that performing them with other musicians “wasn’t a bad thing.”

He also recalled seeing fans’ reactions when the music returned and said the band briefly discussed whether they could do it again, although Lifeson “wasn’t ready.” In recent years, Lifeson has voiced mixed feelings about returning, noting the emotional weight of carrying on without Peart and the band has also tied reunion activity to honouring Peart’s legacy.

Lee has framed the upcoming dates as part of a wider effort to celebrate 50 years of Rush while paying tribute to Peart onstage. Ticket sales for the 2027 UK and international shows are scheduled to begin later this week, with the tour launching in Buenos Aires in January before moving through Brazil and a multi-city European run.
