Mike McManus has posted on Facebook about cops being called to shut down Dave Grohl’s party celebrating the 50th birthday of Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel.

“We had to keep this hush-hush, but now it can be told!

Last night Queen Nation played a private birthday party for Nate Mendel of the Foo Fighters! We rocked out in their backyard for all the Foos and their families. They were supposed to come up and do a few songs with us but the cops came during our last few songs. Best quote of the night came from Dave Grohl… ‘Thank God the cops came because there was NO F’KIN’ WAY we were going on after you guys!’

And yes… everything you’ve heard about them is true. They are the coolest friggin’ guys in the world.
Big thanks to the Mendel family for letting us celebrate Nate’s special day with them! #bestnightever.”

Dave Grohl will turn 50 next month. He held a big birthday concert in Los Angeles in 2015 to celebrate his 46th birthday. Special guests like David Lee Roth, Lemmy, and Slash performed at that show. Foo Fighters will tour Europe last year after wrapping up their 2018 North American Concrete and Gold tour.
