Foo Fighters were recently interviewed by GQ, and Dave Grohl was asked what his worst haircut ever was. Grohl had to go back to the 1980’s to recall his worst haircut.

He pondered, “Oh jeez.” He added, “I remember trying to give myself a mullet when The Police were cool, and it was not a good thing. I did it to myself, just like Radiohead.”

Grohl appeared to be referencing the line from Radiohead’s classic “Just” where Thom Yorke sings ‘You do it to yourself.’

Taylor Hawkins asked if he kept the haircut, and Grohl’s response is inaudible, but it sounds like he was stuck with it at least for a time.

Pat Smear then quipped, “The Police were cool?”

Grohl shot back, “It was a long time ago.”

Here is a yearbook photo of Grohl in 1984 when he was 15 years old. It’s likely the haircut he is referring to! Do you think it’s the worst haircut ever?

Foo Fighters had some fun while in England for the Brit Awards, with Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins having a funny exchange in a video for GQ.

Dave Grohl asked, “What is the single biggest lie you’ve ever heard about yourself?”

Taylor Hawkins shot back, “That I have a small penis.”

The entire band then broke out laughing.
