The Police drummer Stewart Copeland took a shot at Foo Fighters for firing drummer Josh Freese, commenting, “This is lucky for the five other bands that you play with.” Interestingly, Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet liked Freese’s post announcing his firing where he seemed to question the method in which he was fired.

Earlier this week, singer Ed Sheeran shared a clip to his Instagram stories teasing an upcoming collaboration between himself, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and John Mayer.

In the snippet, originally shared by EA Sports F1, you can hear a bit of their new song “Drive” – a track that will feature in the film “F1” starring Brad Pitt, which is out next month.

“Sneak peek of the song I did for the F1 movie. Mayer on guitar, Grohl on drums. A lot of fun making this, coming out next month with the movie x,” Sheeran wrote.

Other artists that will be featured on the soundtrack to “F1” include Rosé, Burna Boy, Tate McRae, RAYE, Dom Dolla, Madison Beer, Sexyy Redd.
