Ex-Pearl Jam Drummer Surfaces Following Arrest Warrant

Former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese is ending 2015 on a strong note after legal troubles earlier this year, releasing a working rough mix of a new song titled “Like The Child Of The Water I Am” with Brad’s Shawn Smith. More music from the Abbruzzese-Smith collaboration will be released in 2016.

PearlJamOnline reported in February that former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese was wanted by Denton County Police. The warrant is listed as going into effect on September 26, 2014 and involves possession of controlled substances.

According to Texas state law, the ‘POSS CS PG 3<28G' charge is 'Possession of a controlled substance from penalty group 3 in an amount under 28 grams.' It is a Class A Misdemeanor, punishment range of up a year in county jail and a $4,000 fine. The second charge is 'POSS CS PG 3<28G,' a 1st Degree Felony in Texas. The punishment range is 5 years - 99 years, or life in prison. The charge is a 'Manufacture Or Delivery of Substance' charge.
