Foo Fighters have announced a European show with Taylor Momsen’s The Pretty Reckless and Greta Van Fleet. The first tour date will take place on June 8, 2022 in Berlin, Germany at Flughafen Tempelhof.

Greta Van Fleet recently told Apple Music about approaching their new album with a ‘clean slate.’

Daniel: I was definitely personally very confident. It’s nice because it felt like from the very get-go of creating this album and writing it, it was just a clean slate. Not necessarily the end product. But from the very get-go, it was a clean slate. It felt like there was no pressure in any sort of sense. And the fact that we were playing it live in a room just gave us that confidence as we were recording and writing it down. It was wonderful.

Josh: We kind of approached it and thought, “Well, let’s do something on a bigger scale. Let’s do something more cinematic.” It’s an album that we’ve always wanted to make, but we didn’t think it would be as appropriate to release it years ago, that kind of album. Because there wasn’t as much of an ongoing narrative that we had with our fans or music lovers. And now I think people more understand who we are, what we do, where we’re coming from. And I think that makes this album, now, a little bit more consumable. I think it’ll be better received. And we were really stepping off of the stage and into the studio to make this. So it was very live the way that we played it. And there wasn’t a lot of pressure. We were very used to doing that. So maybe we are…. we made an album that we wanted to make for our fans and for music lovers. And for those who weren’t interested, we weren’t interested.

So we set out to do is to make something dynamic. That’s generally how we approach a project or an album. And we wanted every song on the album to be absolutely necessary as it was living there. All pieces of a puzzle, as in there wasn’t particularly a standout track. And the people that have heard it so far have been really excited because nobody seems … I mean, everybody has different standout tracks to them individually, which is great.
