FOO FIGHTERS have hired NINE INCH NAILS’ drummer to replace Josh Freese!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dave Grohl and co. have chosen Ilan Rubin as their next drummer.
Rubin has been with NIne Inch Nails since 2009 – and was even inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with them in 2020, making him their youngest-ever inductee.

He is also the drummer for Angels & Airwaves and Danny Elfman.

This comes after Foo Fighters parted ways with Josh Freese earlier this year.
The Hollywood Reporter does note, however, that Rubin is “committed to Nine Inch Nails through this year and informed band frontman Trent Reznor last week that he had ‘accepted a job with another band.’”

Foo Fighters have yet to comment.

NINE INCH NAILS confirms JOSH FREESE is REJOINING the band after FOO FIGHTERS poached their drummer Ilan Rubin.

After news broke earlier today that Ilan Rubin may be joining Dave Grohl and co. as their new drummer, Nine Inch Nails shared a photo of Freese to their Instagram stories with the caption: “LETS F*CKING GO.”

A representative for Nine Inch Nails confirmed the news to the Hollywood Reporter.
