Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is upset at Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension over Charlie Kirk remark.
ABC pulled late-night host Jimmy Kimmel off air indefinitely after his comments about the shooting of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” a spokesperson for the Disney-owned network stated in a statement.
Kimmel said during his show that the “Maga gang” was trying to score political points off Kirk’s assassination.
The suspension came just hours after Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr threatened to act against Disney and ABC over Kimmel’s remarks.

Armstrong previously shared his desire to diversify his musical activities beyond the iconic punk rock band in a recent interview with ScreenRant.
The musician discussed his future career plans and expressed interest in exploring other musical projects and collaborations.

Armstrong revealed his intentions to branch out: “I don’t have anything planned right now,” he said. “I would love to do some shows with Pinhead Gunpowder, who put out a record this year also. That’s been something we’ve been waiting to do for over 15 years now. So, I think that’s the only thing I’d really like to do right now.”
Armstrong also emphasized his enjoyment of varied musical experiences. He explained how they benefit his overall approach to music.
“I like being busy and I like having fun playing music, like being in a cover band and doing The Coverups with my friends,” he continued. “So, hopefully I’ll do more of that. I think it keeps me from being completely locked in on doing Green Day all the time. It kind of reduces the pressure.”
