Dust n’ Bones: The Untold Story of Izzy Stradlin author Jake Brown discussed Izzy asking him to pull the book through a third party in a new Guns N’ Roses Central interview.

“That Izzy Stradlin book is consistently a really highly ranked eBay search item because it’s so hard to find. The reason it’s so hard to find is I was asked personally by Izzy through his guitar player to pull it.

The reasons he wanted it pulled, I don’t know how much he would say about this now, but the message that was delivered to me through third parties was essentially that he was very private about his life. At that point, he just really didn’t want it to come out.

Out of respect, and it’s the only time I’ve ever done this actually, but out of such respect I have for Izzy, I didn’t want any problem with him, just in the context of maybe someday down the road he’ll want to do an authorized biography someday.”

Appetite For Distortion also recently interviewed Rival Sons, “Rival Sons are one of the most talked about rock bands going today. Opening for Sammy Hagar, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Guns N’ Roses, the band is ready for their next level of stardom. With the release of their new single, “Do Your Worst,” it’s full steam ahead for Rival Sons and our guest, drummer Mike Miley.

We discuss his upbringing, baseball dreams, how Rival Sons formed, the status of rock, opening for 2 different versions of GNR, and so much more!”

Both interviews are featured below.
