Last week, Gwen Stefani took to Twitter/X to share a clip of an interview between former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson and actor Jonathan Roumie.

“Wow Jonathan Roumie, u r a powerful inspirational human what an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being u gx,” the No Doubt frontwoman, who is Catholic, wrote.

Carlson and Roumie – who portrays Jesus Christ in the television series “The Chosen” – spoke about their spirituality during their 90-minute discussion.

Some of Stefani’s fans, however, were not happy with the singer’s promotion of Carlson’s show, with some interpreting it as a confirmation of her political stance with some going as far as to accuse her of “becoming a right wing grifter.”

“Gwen as a long time fan you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you please don’t platform Tucker Carlson the Russian propagandist good lord,” one Twiter/X user responded.

“You honestly need a reality check God this is heartbreaking,” another wrote.

“Knew she was a right wing grifter when she started promoting a bible app,” another said, referencing the fact that Stefani appeared in a Christmas ad campaign for the prayer app Hallow.

Hallow, which has also been promoted by actor Chris Pratt and features Roumie as a narrator, is a Christian and Catholic prayer and meditation app that costs $70 per year with a premium subscription.

While some were critical of Stefani, others in the comments jumped to her defense.

“Thank you for sharing! What a beautiful message from an equally beautiful soul. Love you Gwen. Never change,” one supporter wrote.

“He’s a Catholic and Gwen is a Catholic and it’s the beginning of Lent. Why can’t everyone just be themselves without all the presumption and judgement??” another said.

“Gwen, thank you for posting this and allowing the world to see how unhinged people have gotten over politics. Just take a look at the responses from your ‘fans’ in here,” a third fan added.
