Nine Inch Nails’ new EP is reportedly done. It will be the third in their trilogy of EP’s, which started with 2016’s Not The Actual Events and was followed up with 2017’s Add Violence. Trent Reznor told BBC it will be out before June.

On a Nine Inch Nails Facebook post, Chris Brindle commented: “Alan Moulder let slip that the 3rd EP is done and due imminently. He mixed it too.”

He added, “The Red Paintings are working with him and he let it slip out, they edited the post fairly quickly but enough people noticed it.”

NIN have tour dates scheduled for this summer, so a new EP release definitely makes sense. The Cure frontman Robert Smith was announced as the curator of this summer’s Meltdown Festival a few months back and promised it would be the “must-see event of the summer.”

The lineup he announced today includes Nine Inch Nails, My Bloody Valentine, Deftones, Placebo, Manic Street Preachers, The Libertines, Mogwai, The Psychedelic Furs, The Church, Kristin Hersh, The Notwist, and Mono.

In a press release, Smith says, “I am honoured and excited to be curating the 25th Meltdown Festival. More than 30 of my all-time favourite artists – some of the most exciting, inspirational, intense and influential performers of the last 40 years – will make sure this ten-night extravaganza is the ‘must see’ event of the summer!”

In addition to curating the festival, Robert Smith will also play a two-hour 40th anniversary show in London’s Hyde Park on July 7, featuring sets from Interpol, Goldfrapp, and Slowdive.
