Jack Osbourne Fires Back at Roger Waters Over Dissing Ozzy

Rock fans were met with a showdown of epic proportions when Jack Osbourne launched a blistering social media attack on Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters, after the prog-rock legend publicly dismissed Ozzy Osbourne’s career.

In a recent appearance on the Independent Ink podcast, Waters slammed the late Ozzy as a cultural distraction, saying, “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him, in his whatever… he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.” Waters went even further, mocking Ozzy’s music and legendary stage antics—crudely dismissing the infamous bat-biting moment and expressing no interest in Black Sabbath’s legacy.

The response was swift and brutal. On Instagram, Jack shot back: “F-k you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a c-t – thanks for proving him right.” He capped his post with a clown emoji and the hashtag #f-krogerwaters.

The attack comes just weeks after the tragic passing of Ozzy on July 22, following a battle with Parkinson’s and heart disease. Jack and Kelly Osbourne have both been vocal in defending their father’s legacy, responding to public jabs with fierce loyalty and emotion.

Waters’ dismissive tone toward a pioneer of heavy metal strikes a nerve in a community built on passion and respect, and while Waters makes his opinions known quite a bit, he may have really crossed a line this time.
