Kid Rock marked Thanksgiving with a show of gratitude for America’s servicemembers, sharing a message on X after spending the afternoon at Fort Campbell in Kentucky alongside the Vice President and U.S. troops.

“Was an honor to be with our troops and Vice President at Fort Campbell, KY this afternoon,” he wrote on X.

“Thank you to all our soldiers and veterans for your service and sacrifice – especially those who are unable to be with their loved ones this holiday season. God bless you all and Happy Thanksgiving.”

Vice President J.D. Vance was slammed on social media after posting a video of his visit to Fort Campbell in Kentucky as two members of the National Guard were gunned down in Washington, D.C.

Musician and Trump supporter Kid Rock was seen with the VP, taking the podium and addressing members of the military as news of the shooting broke.

One person commented on the X post, “Two guard members were just shot and had no way to defend themselves and you are posting about Kid Rock do better.”

The shooting took place on Wednesday afternoon in the nation’s capital, just steps away from the White House.

More people chimed in on the bad timing of the post. One quipped, “What…Ted Nugent couldn’t make it?” as another fumed, “Kid rock? smh.”

Another simply wrote, “You’re a fraud.” Others urged the VP to address the shooting, which prompted responses like “What about the shooting near the WH” and “Please pray for the National Guard members that were shot in DC today while you are live!”

One X user commented, “Two Guardsmen died, and you’re just celebrating Thanksgiving like nothing happened. Oh, a quick mention for ‘prayers’…but then it’s right back to celebrating,” as another echoed, “Kid f—–g rock … for f–k sake what a bunch of unserious people … seriously??”

Vance’s special guest introduced the vice president before he delivered his remarks. Kid Rock is known for being a vocal MAGA supporter and performed at the Republican National Convention last year as well as at Trump’s pre-inauguration rally.
