Jimmy Page reacted to the Grammys disrespecting Led Zeppelin in a recent social media post.

“On this day in 1988 ‘Writes of Winter’ was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Well lo and behold, never having had a Grammy nomination from anything before, ‘Writes Of Winter’ from the Outrider album was mysteriously nominated in the instrumental category today in 1988. I wasn’t going to hold my breath and it’s just as well I didn’t because I still wouldn’t have a Grammy but hey – I got a nomination.”

Page also recently posted, “On this day in 1982, I watched Foreigner perform at The Sports Arena, Munich.
⠀⠀
Foreigner were touring with the release of ‘4’ and it was so good to hear and feel Lou Gramm’s vocals. Foreigner had augmented their band with two versatile LA session musicians and, in fact, the guy who played the sax on ‘Urgent’ provided a spirited rendition of the Junior Walker solo. ⠀⠀

Mick Jones and I went back a long way: we met in the days of Johnny Halliday and it wasn’t long before he encouraged me to come up and have a jam. A tipsy version of ‘Lucille’ was performed.”

“On this day in 1968, I played with The Yardbirds at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara.
The band were looking good, sounding good and it had an ever increasing cult following on the underground scene.”
