John Frusciante’s first photos back in the studio with Red Hot Chili Peppers have leaked, with Frusciante seen along with drummer Chad Smith.

Mrbrickjojo commented on Reddit, “I imagine this album is going to come out sometime in 2021. I am willing to wait till then.”

ReserviorFrog added, “Agreed. I just wish they give us a little taste this year.” SirPsycko chimed in, “Maybe… a single.”

Rocalexcamp wrote, “I don’t think they’ll give us a single this year, the recording process probably just started, so there’s the recording, mixing, mastering and all that and those things take time, maybe in March well get a new single!! :)”

ReserviorFrog said, “I’m so buzzing for the new album. I hope they release a single this year to brighten up the world in this horrible year. 🌶”

Ga_Dawg22 concluded, “I think there’s a chance they release a single this week with that type of picture from flea. Maybe I’m optimistic, but there may have been some instant chemistry the same way when John came back the first time.”

John Frusciante returned to RHCP last year, replacing Josh Klinghoffer after his firing in December. Frusciante’s last RHCP album was 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, with his final performance being in August 2007. Frusciante, Anthony Kiedis, and Flea reunited earlier this year to before at a memorial event. RHCP canceled several 2020 performances due to the worldwide pandemic.
