The event was part of the celebrations leading up to Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

During a pre-inauguration interview with the BBC, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, made headlines by openly flirting with journalist Caitríona Perry. He remarked that she “sounded sexy” and invited her to go skiing, comments that left Perry visibly uncomfortable and sparked discussions on social media about appropriateness.

In the days leading up to the inauguration, Kid Rock revealed that President-elect Trump consulted him regarding the decision to move the inauguration ceremony indoors due to inclement weather. This conversation highlighted the close rapport between the musician and the president.
