Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter referred to former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way as her ‘adoptive’ father in a new Easter Instagram story video.

“Thanks to my adoptive parents Gerard Way and Lindsey Way for letting me dye Easter eggs while eating their food. Luv u guys.”

Frances Bean Cobain discussed Gerard Way’s solo career in 2014. “I’m really excited for Gerard. He’s been working on this project for a while and its sound and vibe is the polar opposite from My Chemical Romance,” Cobain told NME. “I’ve watched him evolve over nine years of friendship and I think this is the best music he’s ever produced. It’s gritty, stripped down, raw and lyrically poetic in a way he hasn’t explored before. It’s gonna knock people on their asses, whether it’s a positive reaction or not.”

Gerard Way defended Frances Bean Cobain in 2015 after the media criticized her appearance.

Cobain tweeted, “Apparently I’m not well because I dressed like Morticia Addams last night and am pale? Okay media spin cycle, okay. #slownewsday”

Gerard Way also replied, “F the media and the sun.”

Frances Bean Cobain is expected to release her debut album at some point in the not too distant future.
