Former Marilyn Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy (aka Pogo) has commented the following on Facebook:

Just kill me already: a Pixies song in a commercial for Citibank…

One of the rare songs they did a video for and one of their most popular, kind of sucky by their terms.

I mean at least with the Clash they didn’t do it until after Joe Strummer died. And same thing with the Ramones, it only happened after Joey died.

And I can understand it for like the Buzzcocks, and s*** that was never really that popular.

Although I still f****** hate it.

I know you’re right, it just sucks. I just wish it wasn’t Citibank.

I mean maybe if it was for Trader Joe’s or something.

I guarantee you they didn’t do it for free or charity.

The Sex Pistols were nowhere near as political as The Clash, The Sex Pistols were a creation of a f****** fashion designer.
