While speaking with Us Weekly about his new memoir “Fahrenheit-182,” Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus opened up about a couple of encounters and missed opportunities he had with actresses Melissa Joan Hart and Alyssa Milano.

“I grew up in the middle of a desert in a town [with] 12,000 people, and I moved to San Diego in ’92,” he told the publication. “And within a number of years, I’m hanging out with legitimate Hollywood stars — some of which are kind of flirting with me.”

In his book, Hoppus reveals that after he met Hart at the Teen Choice Awards, her publicist reached out to Blink-182’s publicist to give him her phone number.

The musician admits that he and the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” star ended up going on a date, but called it “awful.” Despite describing Hart as “very nice,” he says their outing was “tough” because they failed to connect.

While their one date didn’t blossom into a relationship, Hoppus admits that their night out left a lasting impression on him. “I was honestly starstruck and I felt so cool. Like, Melissa Joan Hart wants to go on a date with me? OK, let’s roll,” he told Us Weekly.

However, he doubt’s Hart feels the same way: “[If] she reads the book, she’ll probably be like, ‘I don’t even remember that. I went on a date with Mark from Blink-182? What are you talking about?’”

Hoppus also believes Alyssa Milano has forgotten their 1998 encounter. In “Fahrenheit-182,” the musician recalls the actress slipping him her phone number on the set of the music video for Blink-182’s song “Josie” – which Milano starred in, portraying Hoppus’ love interest.

As Hoppus explains in his book, he was “too shy” and Milano was “too intimidating” for him to ask her out.

“Alyssa Milano is probably going to be like, ‘Yeah, I gave him my number, but I gave everybody my number — I was just being friendly,’” he told the outlet.

Clarifying why he decided to include those two stories in his memoir, Hoppus said: “They were both awesome people. I didn’t put it in the book to be gossip-y or whatever, but I was honestly starstruck and thought it was really cool.”
