Nirvana have responded to rumors that Kurt Cobain is still alive, with a lookalike having surfaced.

“It is true, Kurt is alive. He needed time to learn to play the guitar with his right hand. Finding left-handed guitars is not easy. We are so happy to have him back and forgive him for all of the sadness that we have held so deeply in our hearts.”

The bizarre theory emerged after a video of Peruvian singer Ramiro Saavedra performing “Come As You Are” was shared online, some some fans proclaiming that it proved that Kurt Cobain is alive, despite the fact that Saavedra plays guitar right handed. The video is also from 2012, and this story going as viral as it has shows what a sad state rock is in when a story based on a video from 4 years ago ends up being one of the biggest stories in rock so far this week.
