Mitch Lafon ‘wouldn’t be surprised’ to see a Nirvana stadium tour with Post Malone. He tweeted after SNL 50 saw Nirvana fronted by Post Malone, “A Post Malone – Nirvana tour would work.

Stadiums worldwide…

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a tour in 2026.”

In a historic convergence of musical talent, Post Malone joined forces with the surviving members of Nirvana during the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert on February 14, 2025, at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. This event marked a rare reunion of Nirvana members, celebrating the band’s legacy in an unforgettable way.

The SNL50 concert, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, honored five decades of Saturday Night Live with an impressive lineup of musical performances. Post Malone’s collaboration with Nirvana stood out as one of the most talked-about moments of the night. Taking on lead vocals, Malone delivered a raw and electrifying rendition of Smells Like Teen Spirit, channeling the intensity and spirit of the original track while making it his own.

This performance not only paid tribute to Kurt Cobain and Nirvana’s influence on rock history but also introduced their music to a new generation. The fusion of Post Malone’s contemporary style with Nirvana’s grunge roots showcased the timeless nature of their sound.

The SNL50: The Homecoming Concert featured a star-studded lineup, but the unexpected pairing of Post Malone and Nirvana proved to be the defining moment of the night, bridging generations and musical genres in a powerful way.
