While speaking to Audacy Music in a recent interview about Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s last ever show (which is set to take place in July), Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale revealed that depending on Osbourne’s health, he may not perform after all.

The revelation came when Hale was asked about the possibility of her playing the track “Close Your Eyes Forever” with Osbourne.

“So, according to [the event’s musical director] Tom Morello, that is in the works, but we’re going to have to wait,” Hale responded. “He said, ‘You’re going to have to be patient with the confirmation for that.’”

“Because of Ozzy’s health and everything, we’re going to have to see pretty much on the day whether Ozzy’s to be singing or how much Ozzy’s going to be singing and willing to do,” she explained.

She then went on to give a bit of insight as to what fans can expect from her and her band at the show: “But Halestorm is doing a set. We’re also doing a Black Sabbath cover. And I’ve been asked to sing in the supergroup with Tom Morello and everybody there.”

In 2020, Osbourne revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Due to his health, Black Sabbath’s upcoming show is being billed as his last ever performance. While it was initially thought Osbourne would be playing alongside his bandmates for a full set, he later revealed that he will only be joining the band for select portions of the show.
