Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral procession recently gave way to a private ceremony on Wednesday, following an emotional public tribute on Birmingham’s Broad Street attended by his wife, Sharon Osbourne. Their daughter Kelly Osbourne was visibly emotional and was seen shedding tears.

The Black Sabbath frontman’s hearse was driven down the city centre street, with family members following behind in a procession accompanied by local brass band Bostin Brass. The cortege paused at the Black Sabbath bridge and bench, where thousands of fans have gathered since the heavy metal legend’s death last week at the age of 76.

Sharon Osbourne, visibly moved, was joined by the couple’s children, Jack and Kelly, along with other close relatives. They stopped to view the tributes and went on to lay flowers of their own.

The event saw massive gathering and fans paid their final respects to the legend. It was a safe and respectful public farewell, ahead of the private funeral.

Ozzy Osbourne recently passed away at the age of 76, just weeks after reuniting with his Black Sabbath bandmates, and performing a huge farewell concert for fans. The show brought together the original lineup of Black Sabbath for the first time in 20 years, with Osbourne on vocals, Tony I-omi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums.

Osbourne’s passing came as a shock to the music fraternity. He leaves behind his wife, Sharon, and their children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack, as well his two older children, Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, and grandchildren.

Metallica basist Robert Trujillo did not hold back in giving thanks to Ozzy Osbourne for helping him achieve his musical dreams on the eve of attending the funeral for the beloved heavy metal legend. Trujillo performed in Osbourne’s solo band from 1996-2003 before joining Metallica. He also made his presence felt at the funeral.
