On Wednesday (July 30), just over a week after passing away, Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest.

Following a massive funeral procession through the streets of his hometown Birmingham, England – with a stop being made at Black Sabbath Bridge – a private funeral was held at the family’s home in Buckinghamshire.

According to the Daily Mail, Osbourne has been buried on the grounds of his own mansion – as he requested. Specifically, the late metal icon was laid to rest near a lake in the center of his 250-acre estate.

A massive floral arrangement spelling out “OZZY F*CKING OSBOURNE” was placed near the lake in tribute to the Prince of Darkness. A second “Ozzy” floral arrangement – which was featured in his hearse during Wednesday’s memorial procession – was also placed on top of a fountain.

Aside from Osbourne’s family, attendees at the funeral included Marilyn Manson, Zakk Wylde, Corey Taylor, Robert Trujillo, and Rob Zombie.

In his 2010 autobiography “I Am Ozzy,” Osbourne detailed his final arrangements, writing:

“Eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone. I’ve said to Sharon: ‘Don’t cremate me, whatever you do.’ I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head. A crabapple tree, preferably, so the kids can make wine out of me and get p***ed out of their heads.

“As for what they’ll put on my headstone, I ain’t under any illusions. If I close my eyes, I can already see it. Ozzy Osbourne, born 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat.”
