Blabbermouth reports that visionary singer-songwriter and musician Perry Farrell has signed an exclusive worldwide record deal with BMG to release his new solo album, “Kind Heaven”, a musical scene-setter for his immersive entertainment destination “Kind Heaven” set to open at The LINQ Promenade in Las Vegas next year.

Slated for release in 2019, “Kind Heaven” marks the first solo album release from the Jane’s Addiction and Porno For Pyros frontman since 2001. Conceived by Farrell and produced by Tony Visconti, “Kind Heaven” features Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Mike Garson (David Bowie), Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Peter Distefano (Porno For Pyros), Dhani Harrison, Elliot Easton (The Cars), Joachim Garraud (David Guetta), and other notable star turns. Sonic highlights include orchestral scoring by Hollywood composer Harry Gregson Willams, striking duets with Etty Farrell, and a first-of-its-kind sound mix by IMN Creative to create an all-new music experience for fans.

Farrell said: “Every concept I’ve ever had began with music as its bedrock: Jane’s Addiction, Lollapalooza and now ‘Kind Heaven’. I am energized by my partnership with BMG and their commitment to my music, and to powering it with state-of-the-art technology. ‘Kind Heaven’ is mixed in Dolby Atmos, binaurally, and, of course, in stereo.”

Ahead of the album release, Farrell will be marking the debut live performance of his new band and music at a special concert at the legendary Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on December 2, headlining the “Festival Of Lights” benefit in support of the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation.

Fred Casimir, EVP global recordings, BMG, said: “Perry Farrell has been a ground-breaking force in rock culture for three decades. With Lollapalooza he has been a pioneer in creating new music-based experiences. With ‘Kind Heaven’, Perry is now taking things on to another level and we are delighted to partner with him on this extraordinary album.”

Kate Hyman, the A&R executive overseeing the deal at BMG, said: “Perry Farrell has created a unique and powerful album. Peppered with Perry’s optimism shining throughout, His ability to bring his vast concepts to life is absolutely magical. This will certainly be worth the wait.”

After dissolving his post-punk band Psi Com in 1984, Farrell co-founded influential pioneers of the Los Angeles underground Jane’s Addiction, building a rabid fan base behind their legendary, high-energy shows. The band would go on to release the ground-breaking platinum-certified “Nothing’s Shocking”, two-times-platinum “Ritual De Lo Habitual”, gold compilation “Kettle Whistle” and gold-certified “Strays”, among their nine album releases.

Farrell subsequently became frontman and co-founder of Porno For Pyros, whose eponymous debut album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, yielding the No. 1 single “Pets”, and went on to be certified gold, with “Good God’s Urge” following three years later. As a solo artist, Farrell released the compilation “Rev” in 1999, followed by his debut solo album “Song Yet To Be Sung” in 2001. Performing as Satellite Party, he released the album “Ultra Payloaded” in 2007. Farrell is the co-founder and organizer of Lollapalooza, the renowned global festival brand, as well as an environmentalist and human rights activist.
