Queen guitarist Brian May calls out false Charlie Kirk reports
Queen guitarist Brian May has posted in response to hoax reports that he was seen crying over the murder of Turning Point USA leader Charlie Kirk. Kirk was shot to death on a college campus during an event in Utah on Wednesday, and Kirk’s death drew an emotional response from System of a Down. Kirk was a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump.
May wrote, “Please SWIPE to see more rubbish ! Just so you know, folks … there are time-wasting scammers out there —- none of this is me. It’s all bogus. I don’t do Facebook – the only medium I use is Instagram and I only have this one account. Please ignore all the rubbish. Actually the pathetic spelling probably immediately gives it away !! Cheers – Bri.”
In the comments, fans pointed out seeing more hoaxes tied to Queen online in recent months, especially in the age of AI. Others praised Charlie Kirk, while some attacked him.
One fan commented, “Charlie Kirk was a great man.” Another commented, “im sure a GUITARIST who’s been friends with a brown, queer immigrant, mourned KKKirk… yeah right.”
Brian May has stayed busy in 2025, making a return to performing following health concerns and honoring his career achievements. In April he made a surprise appearance at Coachella, joining rising star Benson Boone onstage for a powerful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody just months after recovering from a minor stroke that had temporarily left him unable to move his left arm.legend/articleshow/120246067.cms”>reports noted.
