A barber named Sweeney cut Josh Homme and other Queens of the Stone Age members’ hair before their Eden Sessions gig on Tuesday, Cornwall Live reports.

“I got the email on Monday night and thought it was a wind-up at first.”

“Josh was really nice, like a lad you’d talk to in the pub really. I found him to be quite a wise bloke.”

Homme was accompanied at Eden by his wife Brody Dalle and their three children.

Sweeney added: “It was a very family-orientated atmosphere. Josh said he wanted his hair cut like his son and called him over, so I did it in the same mohawk sort of style. He called me ‘The Magician’ after I did it.”

“They were very generous, they got all the Sea Dogs Barbers boys in as well as partners and friends. We ended up having dinner with them – it was all very normal and just like cutting someone’s hair in the shop,” said Sweeney.

“We watched the England v Colombia game with the band. They wanted to watch the whole thing, but their tour manager told them they couldn’t, they had to get on stage!”
