Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave drummer Brad Wilk bravely discussed dealing with the awful diabetes disease in a new Instagram post. A Rage Against The Machine reunion offer was detailed recently by a major promoter.

“BURNIN RUBBER. One year ago. Gotta get back at it. Slackin off is a slippery slope. Especially the older you get. Being a type 1 diabetic and having two young boys my health is everything. I’d like to be around for them as long as I can. Staying healthy in mind, body and spirit is a real challenge and all of these areas push and pull at me constantly. I’ve found you get out of life what you put in. I sometimes wish that equation was easier but it just ain’t, for me anyways. How bout you all? What do you do to stay motivated in this life!? I wanna know.”

You can donate to the American Diabetes Association charity.

Their website states, “Diabetes isn’t a choice, but we can all choose to fight it. Your gift makes a difference and will go a long way to support research for a cure and better treatments as well as to raise awareness about the #EverydayReality of living with this disease. Let’s beat it together!

Please use our Memorial Donation Form or Honor Donation Form to make a donation to honor someone you love or remember someone you’ve lost. You can also make your donation by phone at 1-800-DIABETES (1-800-342-2383) or by mail.”
