Rage Against The Machine’s only scheduled 2020 performances were set for Coachella in October after postponements for their reunion tour, which will now take place in summer 2021. Coachella have announced that there will not be a 2020 festival, with RATM now losing its biggest name festival performance. RATM confirmed their reunion in late 2019, but they have yet to perform since announcing they were getting back together.

There is a Coachella scheduled currently for April 2021, but it could be pushed back to October 2021 if COVID-19 restrictions lead to only a 60% capacity being allowed by April.

“I am concerned as indications grow that COVID-19 could worsen in the fall,” Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser said in a statement announcing the cancellation of the festivals. “Given the projected circumstances and potential, I would not be comfortable moving forward.”

Goldenvoice said, “A year without Coachella and Stagecoach is hard for us to comprehend, but we have every intention of returning in 2021. As of now, Coachella weekend one will take place April 9-11, 2021 and weekend two will be April 16-18, 2021. Stagecoach is set for April 23-25, 2021. We look forward to sharing our new lineups and more information. We can’t wait to be together in the desert again when it is safe. All 2020 passes will be honored in 2021.
