Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea revealed that he stole honey from his bees in a new Instagram post, and that one of the bees retaliated by biting him.

He wrote, “My beautiful bees have once again gifted me many pounds of heavenly honey! Actually I stole it from them but let’s not get all crazy. Damnit I love my bees, even though one of the little fuckers bit me on the left temple yesterday. I had it coming, disrupting their home and honey mongering! Fleas Bees!”

He also posted a few weeks ago, “Ahh the satisfying and poignant feeling of closing a book after letting the last page get all deep up inside your heart/brain/body.

Tear ducts moisten and meaning becomes alive. Love this book by @susanorlean . A book about the burning of the Los Angeles Public Library in 1986, it is an ode to libraries all over the world, the sacred things that they are.

A fantastic history of the kooky Los Angeles I grew up in. About the fire she wrote, ‘It would remain a story without end, like a suspended chord in the last measure of a song—that singular, dissonant, open sound that makes you ache to hear something more.'”
