Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new album Unlimited Love has leaked, with the album being circulated on Reddit and Telegram on a Google Drive.

Moderator THCInjection said on Reddit, “Sorry about that folks. We are reiterating that the piracy is not allowed. But we will not be handing out permanent bans without warning.

Please don’t post any download links to the new album. We’ve come to the consensus that links to websites that do their own content moderation in regards to copyright infringement and leaks (example: Vimeo and YouTube) will be allowed.

We apologize as a mod team for the hastily made post and the things said regarding the fans in this subreddit.

Only 4 more days until this whole piracy issue will behind us anyhow. And four days until we all get to hear Unlimited Love.

Hope everyone is doing well and are such as excited as our mod team is for this new album!

Edit: I have to add that most folks were only banned for 1-3 days. These will remain unchanged. The permanent bans have been changed to a similar length of time. Sorry for the confusion folks, just trying to save our inboxes. No one was banned for just commenting.

Edit2: Folks. No need for not asking for the album in your DMs because you dont want to listen to it.

Lol we are not censoring speech or your DMs. We are simply enforcing rule 7 of Reddits content policy to cover our own asses.

If you’d like to have a RHCP subreddit to hang out in; this rule must be followed to prevent action from Reddit admin or legal action from a third party (yes I only found out about this recently and am not too stoked on it either).

DM the album to each other all you want.”
