Rod Stewart has announced that he needs to cancel his July concerts because he is still sick. He told his fans on Instagram that he has to cancel and change the dates of his next six shows because he is recovering from the flu. He said he feels very sorry and hopes to be back on stage soon.
This is not the first time Stewart has had health problems. He has had serious illnesses like thyroid and prostate cancer before. Even with these challenges, he has worked hard to keep performing for his fans.
The canceled concerts were planned in places like Nevada and California. His doctor told him to rest more so he can get better, which is why he made the decision to cancel the shows. Fans are sad but understand that his health comes first.
Stewart is still very respected in music. In May, he won a special lifetime achievement award at the American Music Awards because of his long and successful career.
Even though he is sick now, Stewart is still expected to sing at the famous Glastonbury Festival later this month as part of his One Last Time Tour. Many people will be watching to see how he does. He loves music and wants to keep performing, even when it is hard.
