Former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has died, Dave Navarro and Dave Kushner are reporting. Weiland was found unresponsive on his tour bus, and no cause of death has been revealed. He was 48. I am in shock right now, and am not even capable of writing a full report, and will edit in more details later. Rest in peace.

UPDATE: Scott Weiland’s manager has released a statement on his death:

Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.
