According to the Slipknot Reddit page, former Slipknot member Donnie Steele has reportedly voiced his support for percussionist Chris Fehn’s lawsuit against his Slipknot bandmates.

Steel is best known as one of two original guitarists in Slipknot. Steele co-founded Slipknot in 1995, performing on the band’s debut demo Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. He left in 1996 and was replaced by Craig “133” Jones, but later rejoined in 2011 as the touring bassist following the 2010 death of Paul Gray. Steele contributed to the band’s 2014 album .5: The Gray Chapter, but was later replaced full-time by Alessandro Venturella.

According to the Slipknot Reddit, Donnie Steele allegedly wrote on Facebook, “Lol! Don’t blame him…”

Someone commented, “If you’re talking about Fehn I couldn’t agree more.”

Steele reportedly responded, “Nobody likes to get lied to and ripped off. I know first hand.”

“And most, MOST of them can’t write. In the 3 years I toured with them I actually spent more time in writing sessions in the studio then I did on the road….all done behind the other members back. That’s how they roll…”

Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn is suing Corey Taylor and his other bandmates over money, and Taylor has hit back in a tweet. Fehn’s lawsuit allegedly accuses Taylor of ‘shady’ business dealings.

“You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
Long Live The Knot.”

The Blast reports, “He claims to have always been told that the money from merchandise and touring is funneled through one sole company that splits profits and pays the members of the band. However, Fehn claims he recently discovered that his bandmates have set up several other Slipknot affiliated business entities in different states that appear to be collecting money from the band.

Fehn says he was unaware of the separate companies, and claims to have never received a dime from them. He’s specifically calling out band leaders Shawn Crahan and Corey Taylor of the shady business dealings.

Fehn wants a full forensic accounting done on Slipknot’s companies and assets, and to collect the damages and profits he believes he’s owed.”
