Stone Temple Pilots have announced that their performances of Core and Purple in their entirety are being released on the Coda Collection.

“Last year’s Core and Purple live streams are now available to view on the newly launched @Coda_Collection on Amazon Prime! Subscribe for a free week trial today: https://amzn.to/3dpfBGS #stonetemplepilots.”

The performances feature the band’s current singer, Jeff Gutt, and are not past performances with the late Scott Weiland. Dave Coutts fronted Talk Show with STP members Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz in 1997, and he has just released a new song called “Let Me In.”

DJwoo311 posted on the STP Reddit, “Me and Dave exchanged emails a handful of years ago (5 or 6 now), we talked about him and his music, mostly ten inch men related stuff and what he’s been up to. Talked about anonymity as well and how he could use that to his advantage, musically. Nice guy.”

Melverton-2 added, “I liked him and Talk Show.”

He added, “I’m a STP fan and miss Scott, of course. But, next to him at the time, Dave was a better choice than Chester. RIP. Never did get that choice.

I hope to see them again, with Jeff, when this pandemic is through. Love their music.”
