System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian showed up at a recent Red Hot Chili Peppers show in Australia.

Flea wrote on Instagram, “So happy to see my pal @serjtankian last night after the show in Auckland. He’s always been a righteous dude and a true rocker. ❤️❤️❤️ and we’ve had some beautiful jams in our past.”

Flea wrote on International Women’s Day, “I have had many women to admire in my life. Women who have humbled me, taught me, inspired me, and pushed me to grow and become a better person. I am so grateful to the awe inspiring power of a realized woman. Patti Smith is one such woman, from whom I have learned so much, before we were friends, and after.

No man could ever inspire me with the strength, patience, forgiveness, insight and the ability to surrender to the beauty of the divine in the way that she has. Patti is a symbol of the strength in all women; powerful and consistent like the mightiest oak, bending but never breaking, kind, understanding and optimistic like the softest sunrise, a total badass, and beautiful beyond everything. Happy international woman’s day to all.”
