A fan has uploaded a video of Marilyn Manson appearing to smoke a joint onstage at a recent concert in Las Vegas.

The fan wrote on Instagram, “manson casually smoking a joint on stage, a legend !! i love you !!!!”

Tyler Bates also quit Manson’s live band yesterday, “Dear friends, the time has come for me to return to my film, television, and studio work, exclusively. I will not be performing on the remainder of the Marilyn Manson “Heaven Upside Down” tour. Mad love to my band mates and to all of you. It’s been fun!”

Manson later tweeted, “Johnny Depp is considering a position on guitar. Sound great?”

In a recent Kerrang interview, he discussed relating his life to film and television.

“I’ve often been told by romantic partners that life isn’t a TV show and it’s not a movie,” he admits. “I always try to explain that these things are written by people who are real and if I identify with someone I’m not trying to say that I am that person, or that I believe that our relationship is like this movie we’re watching.

But I can get obsessed with characters. Like, I got totally sucked into True Detective because of Matthew McConaughey’s character, Rust, and his perception of life as being a flat circle. My cat Rusty is named after him. And with my art I try to make things that make people think in different ways, too. There is shit that I want to fuck up.”
