Cemetery Sends Letter To Chris Cornell’s Widow Revealing What Is ‘Against Their Policy’

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery has sent a letter to Vicky Cornell stating that fans aren’t allowed to film video of their visits to Chris Cornell’s grave. Cornell’s management team tweeted:

“We understand that some of Chris’s fans wish to video their visits at Hollywood Forever, but we’ve had confirmation that it’s against their policy. We’d like to thank everyone for their understanding. – Management Team, Chris Cornell.”

Below is the letter from Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

  • Olga Stewart

But parties and concerts can take place near his grave?

    Go figure.

And hopefully Vicky won’t make a fuss about this letter (from the cemetery).

    • makingconnections

Hasn’t she had herself filmed at the gravesite?

      • Olga Stewart

        Most likely.

And apparently Linda Ramone has a livestream of the place.

So this probably a fuss about something that bothered Vicky.

        • Ronald J Gore

          Agreed

      • Cathy

        Yes!

        • HippieChic61

Where is that video? I’d like to see it….or are we assuming again?

    • Ronald J Gore

To me,( and this is only my opinion)….i think Vickie had this letter made… because all the videos are of fans not believing how things played out, and how he “died”, and she’s freAking out…as usual. Yet The hit tv drama Ray Donovan, just filmed an episode right in front of C.C’s grave… that’s ok?…hmm yea right. It’s hollywood, filming is everything… and I hope it crashes down to rubble

      • Olga Stewart

I just thought that this old year might end without any mention of Vicky making waves about something.

I guess I should have known better.

And as usual, she got the attention that she wanted.

        • Ronald J Gore

          Right again…

  • Allison Auld

That last paragraph in the letter from the cemetery is heartbreaking. I hope his children were relaokay during their first Christmas without him.

    • Olga Stewart

Well, I think where he is buried is not the best place for him, you know?

I still think he should have been buried in Seattle.

And I think his own famliy would have made sure that he was able to rest in peace.

      • Cathy

The grieving widow had a selfie of herself in front of his grave in a revealing dress.

        • SmittenKitten

          Classless

        • Ronald J Gore

          Vickie K is Wh_re.. that’s why. A money hungry, manipulating wh_re

        • HippieChic61

Considering it was taken from the back, it was hardly a selfie!

      • Ronald J Gore

Chris hated Seattle..i don’t THINK he would’ve wanted to be buried there either

        • Olga Stewart

Well, anywhere else would have been better than where his ashes currently are.

          • Ronald J Gore

            Agreed

      • HippieChic61

        Chris hated it there!

    • Ronald J Gore

I too feel for his children.. but there’s nothing wrong with filming at a grave…its a memory of one’s journey..we cant recall everything In life, so why not record it? VK just got mad that people were posting their opinions and/or accusations about her.. and that cemetery is A “Disneyland”, it’s Hollywood..😕

  • Clyn Red

Confused as to why they would send the Widow a letter. How in the world she’s supposed to control her husband’s fan? How dumb was that put the sign up outside that everyone that passes the gate for anyone not just mr. Chris Cornell before anyone filmy is not allowed and leave it there. Why burden the Widow!

Living celebrities can’t control the Paparazzi, or, their fans from taking pictures and filming!

    • Olga Stewart

I’m guessing that Vicky might have had an objection to someone either filming or taking photos at Chris’s grave.

So she got in touch with the cemetery to see what the policy is on this.

But really, it’s her way of controlling things (as she has done for a long time).

      • Clyn Red

Well, nothing in the letter supports that guess. I would like to believe if this letter was written to her it would be more professionally personable. It’s basic & without warmth. However, my comment remains just that. I don’t know her personally enough to guess anything. From your response you don’t either.

        Happy New Year.

        • makingconnections

Those of us who have followed Vicki Cornell’s actions from the moment Chris Cornell died know that she is a PR machine. Every move she makes is in an effort to control the narrative concerning her life with her husband and his life in death. Only a month or so after his passing she was photographed an an “event” put on by Linda Ramone at the cemetery where drinking and dancing took place, an annual event. Chris was supposedly honoured, but it was a silly attempt, not worthy of him. She’s had herself photographed at his grave in her favorite backless black dress at another time.
By the way, the letter to her was pretty warm and fuzzy really.

          • Olga Stewart

Yes, I also though the letter was fairly personal.

Especially the last paragraph of it.

          • Ronald J Gore

Vicki needs to drop the Cornell name, it’s too good for her, and be who she REALLY is… and yes, WAY TO WARM N FUZZY of a letter, I think she had it spun up due the fans filming and posting their opinions on his demise

          • makingconnections

Yes, whenever there’s any situation involving Vicki Cornell, one questions what the publicity effort is, what sort of manipulation is happening. In the end what I find disturbing is that her being the Vicki Cornell she is has actually tampered with Chris’s memory and legacy. Cruel.

        • Olga Stewart

Happy New Year to you and yours.

          • makingconnections

Happy New Year Olga! I’m snowed in!

          • Olga Stewart

            Thank you. :).

And that Canadian weather of ours is something else.

Lastly, I do hope that you and yours will be okay there.

          • makingconnections

Thanks Olga, we have a few challenges but some exciting things to look forward to as well…life eh?

          • Olga Stewart

            You’re most welcome. :).

And tomorrow, I have my birthday to look forward to. *big smile*

          • makingconnections

I hope your birthday is fun….all the best!

          • Olga Stewart

            Thank you most kindly.

            And I’ll be turning 45.

So just five more years until the big 5-0. :).

          • makingconnections

Remember Olga, “Don’t Round Up”! You’ve got lots of your 40’s left.

          • Olga Stewart

            This is true. :).

        • HippieChic61

Olga makes up stuff to bash Vicky with. Doesnt matter if facts support the opposite, Olga will twist it to be Vicky’s fault! Which makes most of her posts lack validity.

      • HippieChic61

You do a lot of off the wall “guessing” !! You fabricate shit and spread it like its fact!

    • Nicola

Probably she or her froends were involved in filming, thus the letter, trying in a nice way to put a stop to it.

  • Karportjunction

So I guess that means no more back posing photo shoots for REAL WIDOWS FINDING FAME. This ugly bitch needs to get Chris’s money back those new faces her & her psycho mom got didn’t help. I guess you can’t hide the ugliness from within.

    • Cathy

The letter was directed to her for a reason. She’s an opportunist and thrives on publicity.

      • HippieChic61

Whom would you have the letter directed to? LOL They sent it to her because its her husband’s grave.

  • Cathy

The letter was sent because she’s made the grave site a three ring circus. Notice it’s directed to her and no one else.

    • HippieChic61

How has she done that? last I heard , the Vicky haters were whining that she never visits. Now shes the one making it a circus? LOL

  • lisa

What a thoughtful letter. It is deplorable that anyone would think it appropriate to “film” a visit to a cemetery. They obviously do not have true condolences in mind. What a lack of class.

    • Ronald J Gore

      Ummmm, ok Vicki

      • lisa

        You are an idiot

        • Ronald J Gore

Am I now?….Hmm, ok. Thank you! We have a cemetery named “HOLLYWOOD FOREVER” and you think its in poor taste to film near a grave in that Circus? Who’s the idiot?…not I. YOU should write to the creators of Ray Donovan, and call them idiots too then, as they just filmed at that cemetery.

          • Ronald J Gore

            I cant stand VK trolls

          • Olga Stewart

            Most of us can’t.

          • HippieChic61

So, because its called Hollywood Forever you think there shouldnt be rules? And Im sure permission was granted for Ray Donovan.

          • I H8 RotnLies

Of course there should be rules, but, I think you missed the point

  • Nitro Noriega

Pretty sad that statements need to be issued and policies established in the first place…. Huge fan… Maybe I’d visit his grave if I happened to be in proximity…. But my phone would be (at least) turned to silent and would remain in my pocket during my visit…. Selfishly, his death marks a tragic loss of potential musical gifts he would’ve undoubtedly continued to grave us with, but much more poignantly, his death marks the loss of a father figure to his children and loss of companionship to his wife… The rest, really is trivial in relation to that. His “fans” should respect him as a person in this regard…. But…..

    Society sucks….

    • Ronald J Gore

His REAL fans ARE respecting him…by not believing the b.s. put out by his PR wife. “IT” is a money hungry POS. YOU, seem very respectfull, to keep your iPhone in your pocket…but don’t say “fans” when referring to his FANS, just because you think they’re being disrespectful… they’re sad, and pissed off, and Chris deserves more than being buried in a CIRCUS SIDESHOW cemetary

      • Nitro Noriega

I happen to agree with you, so don’t get too high and mighty and take my words out of context to make your point…. I’m responding to THIS story… Find me an article on the choice of Cemetary and the exploitative hyping of a man’s funeral as “an event” and i’ll join your chorus.

    • lisa

      Totally agree

  • Olga Stewart

Vicky, if you don’t want people filming Chris’s grave, then why did you have his gravestone put in one of the most public of cemeteries?

You can’t have it both ways.

    • HippieChic61

Because its not Vicky that’s not wanting them videoing, it’s the cemetery! Perhaps read the letter from the cemetery before bashing Vicky!

  • Kay B

I have filmed in front of a grave. But it was Ed Gein’s.

    • makingconnections

Off topic, but Kay, did you see the performance at a festival by Scott Weiland where he danced around and sang with a video camera that someone in the audience handed him. Can you imagine how exciting it would have been to see the result!?

      • Kay B

No I didn’t. Thats pretty cool though.

        • makingconnections

Happy New Year Kay to you and yours….and from my old cat to yours!

          • Kay B

Happy New Year. Hope it is a good one.

  • Harley Sparx

I don’t know much of anything about Vicky other than she was married to Chris and have only heard her name sparingly when he was alive. A lot of people and fans seem to generally dislike her, so I’m curious as to why because, as I’ve said, I know nothing about the woman aside from her last name. Her actions after his death seem wacky, so was she always like this? How could someone like Chris remain married to that?

    • getoffmylawn

This is just my uneducated opinion, but Vicky seemed to have moved onto him when he was fresh out of rehab. People straight out of rehab are encouraged not to get involved in a serious relationship for at least a year, so they can work on themself. Not only did she move in on him, she got pregnant immediately.

      • Harley Sparx

Yeaaaaaah. That definitely speaks volumes on her. Preying on someone especially someone in a vulnerable state is despicable. I was just curious because A LOT of people seem to dislike or just flatout hate her and i wanted to know why. I’m mostly ignorant about her.

        • Nicola

in addition to insisting on living a billionaire’s lifestyle, she was also running a sham charity. Various papers have been posted online about this. The “charity” is not in good standing. One year, paperwork showed that nearly all of the 200K collected when to “administrative costs” ie Vicky’s Birkin bag fund. Yup each of those ugly Hermes Birkin bags she and her mother carry cost 35-over 100K. Chris was worked like a dog to pay for their lifestyle. Multiple homes, chartered planes, 5 star hotels, couture clothes for her and her mom, who seemed to live with them. Also her brother was sponging off Chris. Vicky would get mad if photogs wanted to take shots of Chris alone on red carpets. Vicky always wanted the limelight for herself. Chris was a person who never seemed to want to live beyond his means until he met Vicky.
Many suspect she purposely seduced him and got pregnant and then she and her family bullied Chris into rushing his divorce with Susan (yes he was still married as he hooked up with Vicky) so he could have a shotgun wedding to Vicky. She was filmed on her phone as he performed at one show. She did not even stop texting til he took the phone away and embarrassed her in front of the crowd. There are a million reasons why his fans disliked her even before his death. But many believe she is responsible for his death, either directly, or by whatever she said to him during the last phone convo right before he died. There are old Tweets, etc that show her verbal abuse. She and her mother also bullied the ex wife and insulted his first child, calling her a “petri-dish” baby on social media.
Since Chris’s death, instead of displaying grief, she has been out getting nose jobs and once again trying at every turn to get publicity for herself. She turned his funeral into a circus and has allegedly been shopping around trying to get someone to make a documentary on Chris Cornell, no doubt starring Vicky! She seems to have this website on retainer and they put out daily propaganda to make her look good. She has taken the title away from Courtney Love and is now officially rocks most hated widow.

          • Harley Sparx

As a big Soundgarden/Chris Cornell fan how did I not know all of this! Jesus christ, she sounds more like a generoc hollyweird supervillain than a real person. My god.

      • makingconnections

You’re right in all that you say; however, I think Chris was looking for a place to belong and the Karayiannis family offered him that. Hearing one of his last interviews where he spoke of the Armenians and his children having Great-Grandparents that were refugees made me realize that he had a devoted heart. It’s easy to see the mistakes after the fact, but I wish he’d kept contact with his family of origin, rather than rejecting all but Peter when he married Vicki–I think he paid a heavy price by being as devoted to his wife’s family as he seemed to be. I understand dysfunctional families, believe me, but I hope we can all learn from Chris Cornell’s life. We never have to choose one family over another, not matter what. Unless the messiness is completely intolerable, I wish for everyone to try to accept each other, even if it’s a little and sometimes just a little is the best we can do. It’s still healthier than complete rejection.

      • Ronald J Gore

You hit the nail on the head right there🥂

    • Olga Stewart

Vicky is a controlling, manipulative, money seeking, narcissist. And I think she used Chris not only for money but to get attention.

Oh and Vicky’s mother is a few eggs short of a dozen, if you know what I mean.

I think Chris did eventually catch onto what she (Vicky) was doing. But by that time, there were three children and quite a few years of marriage between he and Vicky. Plus, the rest of Vicky’s family were making him miserable. And Vicky and her family were bullying both his ex-wife (Susan) and their (ex-wife’s and Chris’s) daughter (Lily). And so he felt trapped without really anything he could do or perhaps anyone to turn to.

But given how Vicky treated him during their marriage, I think you can then surmise what she would have done to him had they divorced.

I don’t know what exactly happened the night he died. But I do know that ever since then, Vicky has not acted as a grieving widow. If anything, she has been more in the public eye seeking both attention and more opportunities to garner money.

While I’m very happy that Chris was blessed with both Toni and Christopher (the children from his marriage with Vicky), I dearly wish that he and his ex-wife could have either worked things out or else parted on better terms. And I also really wish that Chris would never have crossed both Vicky’s and her family’s path.

      • Harley Sparx

Wow…just wow. That is definitely an eye opener and thank you for the info! You seem more familiar with her antics. Yeah, since he died I sensed that Vicky didn’t have all thr chocolate chips to make a whole cookie. That’s awful her family was bullying a child and says A LOT about them. Chris seemed like a mellow and kind person so I have no idea how he dealt with a 50 lbs of crazy in a 3 lb bag. The situation is really sad and kinda makes you question why he really killed himself: being trapped by her, maybe. I do remember very soon after he died she was putting out all these theories, suing everyone, and all about the attention.

Given the circumstances, I hope the kids, particularly Lily, carry on his name and memory. I just hope Vicky doesn’t corrupt Toni and Chris.

        • Olga Stewart

I’ve spent quite a few months on here. So that’s where I have learned a lot of this.

But I really wish (and I’m sure others do too) that I hadn’t.

And my biggest fear out of all of this is what will happen to both Toni and Christopher. I say this because I really do fear for both their safety and well being.

And since the one positive influence in their life is no longer with us, I don’t even want to imagine what sort of path their family will lead them down.

          Lastly, you’re very welcome.

          • Harley Sparx

Let’s just hope they’re strong enough to be themselves and resist those toxic influences. Make their dad proud.

          • Olga Stewart

            I hope so too.

    • Ronald J Gore

We’d be here for days… if you look into her, her past, her present… you’ll connect some dots…ultimately,I feel really bad for his children having to survive and be around her… the timelines during Chris’s “death” don’t make ANY sense at all…I’VE put allot of time I go this…,I will not make accusations… but things just don’t make sense..Chris was indeed a great man… I’m not putting him on a pedestal, but read his lyrics, he ALWAYS wrote of his life. She got her claws into C, and controlled him to make HER money..her brother set up the meeting of C and VK at a concert
