Late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury’s sister Kashmira heartbreakingly recalled her beautiful times drinking champagne with her late brother in a new Express interview.

“Watching the movie [Bohemian Rhapsody] was emotional but I have my own memories to keep my brother alive, especially fun nights hanging out at home.

We always made the best of our time together. Freddie always classed London as his home, despite having properties in other parts of the world.

Whenever I visited his home here, he had his own chef prepare wonderful meals, then on occasion, he would like to treat me to one of his favorite Indian restaurants. But we always had champagne to begin the evening.”

Kashmira also discussed a massive framed photograph of Freddie in her apartment in Hyde Park.

“I especially chose this photograph and had it enlarged, for the apartment. Whichever angle you look at him from, his eyes follow you. This is the image I have of him when we all lived together in the family home.”

Freddie Mercury died from complications of AIDS in November 1991. Mercury and Queen’s biopic Bohemian Rhapsody was released last year, and earlier this year it won multiple Oscars and Golden Globes Awards. Queen are set to tour North America this summer with Adam Lambert.
