MSL has posted on GNRTruth that he has heard an ‘insane rumor’ about the opener for Guns N’ Roses on their Not In This Lifetime summer stadium tour. While MSL did not name the band, he did drop major hints. Read his first three posts below:

“A week or two ago i heard an absolutely insane rumor about the opener. Still can’t wrap my head around it. Convinced it must be a joke. I dunno. I am befuddled.”

“If I say it, it’ll end up on a million websites and if someone is pulling my leg, I’ll look like a fool and this site will look really bad. let me see if i can find out more in a week or two when I’m not so busy.”

“Only problem is now that we’ve said who it is, it’s going to end up on 800 other websites and I still find the rumor to be so strange. but I’ve heard it from 5-6 different people at this point so i have to believe it’s legitimately being considered even if it doesn’t end up happening. Would explain them being in attendance in Vegas.”

Slash’s backing band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators were in attendance when Guns N’ Roses performed in Las Vegas, and they appear to be the rumored opener. Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins were also in attendance, with Grohl lending his throne to Axl Rose. Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach performed with Guns N’ Roses in Las Vegas, but a Skid Row reunion appears unlikely as the band is currently on tour with a different lead singer, and have tour dates scheduled in July. Pantera’s Vinnie Paul was also in attendance.

MSL later posted the following with photos below it that hint at the opener:

“I still find the rumor to be so far fetched that you’re probably better off being oblivious. But who knows, could be true. Seems several of us have heard the same thing. not sure how the schedules would work out. Maybe it’s just for a few shows? I dunno.”
