Kanye West Collaborates With Kurt Cobain On New Song

On their new album KIDS SEE GHOSTS, Kanye West and Kid Cudi sampled Kurt Cobain. Cobain’s “Burn the Rain” off of the Montage of Heck soundtrack appeared on “Reborn.” Courtney Love was also spotted at the listening party for the album on Thursday night with West. Love recently tweeted praise for West, calling him a ‘free thinker.’

Love and West connected in 2015 during an Uber strike in Paris. SPIN reported at the time, “In a case of being in the wrong place (or vehicle) at the wrong time, Courtney Love and Kanye West appear to have found themselves caught in the unpleasant middle of the Uber strikes currently rocking Paris. Not much is known about West’s whereabouts or his situation except that Love tweeted at him when the car she was riding in was allegedly attacked.”

Love tweeted West at the time, “Dude @kanyewest we may turn back to the airport and hide out with u.picketers just attacked our car #ParisUberStrike.”

“they’ve ambushed our car and are holding our driver hostage. they’re beating the cars with metal bats. this is France?? I’m safer in Baghdad.”

Listen to the new Kanye West and Kid Cudi song “Reborn” featuring Kurt Cobain below, followed by Cobain’s song “Burn the Rain” that is sampled on the song.

Courtney making yet more money off a man that it looks more and more like she might have had killed. Seriously, if it does turn out to be true, it’s the biggest scandal in musical history.

You can’t collaborate with a dead person. It’s called a sample.
