Major Update On Eddie Vedder & Temple of the Dog, Is He In Town For Tour Kickoff?

Fans have been speculating for months as to if Eddie Vedder will make surprise appearances with Temple of the Dog on their reunion tour, especially since he hasn’t been advertised for any shows. While Vedder attended Game 7 of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night, he is in New York at the NYC Public Library right now as I write this article (late Thursday night) at the 7th annual Action for Jackson to celebrate the progress of EBRP and EB research.

Temple of the Dog kick off their tour Friday night in Philadelphia at the Tower Theatre, a 90 minute drive from New York. The band will then play in New York at Madison Square Garden on Monday following their two Philadelphia performances.

This isn’t a guarantee at all though that Vedder will perform with the band in Philadelphia, as the Cubs will be holding their World Series celebration parade today in Chicago. Could Vedder skip out on Temple of the Dog and attend the Cubs parade? Or perhaps could he attend the Cubs parade and then fly to Philadelphia? Or could he just go home and sleep? I don’t know, I’m not his travel agent, but it’s fun to speculate.
